Every Device Has Value.
Every type of electronic device has recoverable value, and CJD prices each load to reflect it.
Whether you’re a one-time seller with a car full of old computers or an operation generating regular device volume, CJD’s electronic device recycling program is built around getting you the best return on your material.
From scrap PC parts and desktop computers to circuit boards and televisions, here’s what CJD buys.
High-priority buying category. We grade and purchase PCBs of all types from manufacturers, recyclers, and industrial operations.
Desktops, laptops, and towers priced on internal components. Fully assembled units return more than stripped machines.
Routers, switches, servers, modems, and telecom hardware purchased for commodity recovery or total destruction.
All television types accepted. Flat screens free, CRT, plasma, console, and projection TVs accepted with a small fee.
Pull into our Edwardsville drive-through or contact us to arrange a pickup for larger commercial loads. Minimum weight requirements apply.
CJD’s electronic device recycling program covers every major category a seller might bring through the door, from recycling PC components and computer disposal loads to enterprise networking gear and industrial circuit boards.
Every device is assessed at intake, but what drives the assessment differs by category. For computers, the motherboard is the primary value driver. The grade sets the baseline, with CPUs, RAM, and drives adding to the return. For network equipment, enterprise-grade hardware commands more than consumer gear, and clients often request total destruction rather than commodity recovery. For circuit boards, grading is its own system based on board composition and material content, with each grade mapping to a specific price tier. TVs are assessed by type: flat screens are accepted free, while CRT, plasma, console, and projection units carry a fee due to specialized handling.
The fastest path for most sellers is our Edwardsville drive-through, where our team unloads, sorts, and assesses material on-site with no appointment needed. For commercial clients or operations with regular device volume, our commercial e-waste pickup service coordinates pickup across Metro St. Louis, Metro East, and Southern Illinois. Minimum weight thresholds apply for free pickup, and the threshold depends on material type and distance.
