What happens to the data on decommissioned networking gear?
All data-bearing network devices are assessed and processed on arrival at our facility. Data is wiped (degaussed) or the device is physically destroyed based on its type and your instructions. Certificates of Destruction are available upon request for organizations that need documented proof.
Can you handle a full server room or data center decommission?
Yes. CJD coordinates pickup for large-scale decommissions including full server rooms, data center hardware, and rack-mounted enterprise infrastructure, with all processing completed at our facility. Contact us ahead of time with details about your load and we’ll confirm the right approach.
Do you process telecom or carrier-grade equipment for total destruction?

Our recycling center is located at 5257 N. State Route 157, Edwardsville, IL 62025. Business hours
are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Appointments are not required for drop-offs during normal business hours.
Can I drop off items without calling ahead?
Yes. Customers are welcome to drop off acceptable items during our regular business hours
without calling ahead.
