CJD prices computers based on what’s inside at intake. Fully assembled units with intact circuit boards, copper, and internal components return more because there’s more recoverable material to work with, but desktops, laptops, and towers are accepted in any condition and every device gets a fair assessment before pricing is confirmed.
High-volume sellers and ongoing partners move to tiered dealer pricing that increases returns as quantities grow. The more consistent your volume, the more the program works in your favor.
Pull into our Edwardsville drive-through and our team handles the rest.
Whether you’re recycling laptop computers or clearing out a room full of desktops, CJD’s e-waste computer recycling center processes every device under the same transparent standards.
CJD accepts desktops and towers of any age or brand and prices them based on their internal components at intake. The motherboard is the primary value driver. The grade determines the baseline for the whole unit. CPUs and RAM in place add to that return; hard drives contribute as well, though less so than the board itself. Stripped units are still accepted and assessed, but intact machines consistently return more. Nothing is refurbished or resold, and all data is removed as part of our standard process.
Laptops are accepted in any condition, working or not. Fully intact laptops return more than units with batteries removed or components pulled. Most sellers request data destruction as part of the process, and CJD’s standard covers this automatically. Data is handled appropriately on every device that comes through, and nothing is reused. For loads that include laptop batteries or other accessories, our accepted items page has the full list of what we take.
CJD’s e-waste computer recycling program serves individuals, small businesses, IT asset managers, and recyclers bringing volume loads to our Edwardsville facility. Drop-off is the simplest option for most sellers, and our commercial e-waste pickup service is available for organizations with qualifying commercial volume. For loads that include computers alongside other devices, our full e-waste price list covers pricing across every category we buy.
